About Muddy Boggy Conservation Bank

Muddy Boggy Conservation Bank is a 3,500+ acre tract of prime American Burying Beetle (ABB) habitat with both preservation and restoration components. The American Burying Beetle is listed by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) as critically endangered. The USFWS requires unavoidable impacts to ABB habitat to be compensated for.

Muddy Boggy provides offsets to temporary, cover change and permanent unavoidable impacts to ABB habitat in the northern and southern Oklahoma ABB Service Area Range. ABB Endangered Species Conservation credits from Muddy Boggy are available for use within the USFWS Tulsa District ABB Consultation Range and on a case-by-case basis throughout the state.

Advanced Ecology, Ltd. and MSUSA are planning two additional ABB expansion sites of 14,000+ acres, which will increase our Oklahoma ABB Conservation Banks to approximately 18,000+ acres; making it the largest ABB Conservation Bank in Oklahoma.
